NASHUA, N.H., Sept. 24, 2018 — Today, cointext.io, a service to transact cryptocurrency over text messages, launched support for the cryptocurrencies Dash (DASH) and Litecoin (LTC) in the United States and Canada.
CoinText enables users to instantly send money to anyone with a mobile phone number or cryptocurrency address. CoinText users don’t need to download an app or register an account to receive funds.
“CoinText makes sending cryptocurrency as easy as sending a text message,” said CoinText founder and lead developer Vin Armani. “It’s a powerful tool for communities to spread adoption of their cryptocurrency.”
CoinText launched exclusively on Bitcoin Cash (BCH) in March of this year. Its BCH service is currently active in over twenty countries. There are no immediate plans to expand Dash and Litecoin service beyond US and Canada, the company said.
“Although Bitcoin Cash is the leading contender to become money for the world,” Armani said, “we are coin agnostic.”
“Ultimately, we want to empower people to use cryptocurrency as cash,” Armani emphasized. “The Dash and Litecoin communities have been asking for this service for a while. We’re positioned to deliver a well-tested product before anyone else.”
Dash users can get a CoinText DASH wallet by texting START to their country’s access number below:
